Count Gore De Vol's Creature Feature Dungeon

The Count in his gory glory

Greetings!

This week’s recommendation is The Count Gore De Vol, or more specifically, his website, the Creature Feature Dungeon.

For most of you horror hounds, I’m sure that the legendary Count requires no introduction. With an over 50-year career in spooky showbusiness as a horror host, first starting on WDCA in 1973, he has done more and had more of an influence than I could cover here today.

Some of you may not be aware that the Count was also an early adopter of the internet, being the first horror host to take his show online in 1998. This is an effort that he maintains to this day, with The Dungeon still getting weekly updates.

On alternating weeks, the Count brings you horror classics and short films from up-and-coming indie film makers, all presented with his own brand of comedy and interesting facts. On the website, you can also find interviews (Both from himself and The Horror Nerd, Todd Staruch), articles from the Unimonster, contests, a repository of weird articles and more.

You can find The Dungeon at the link below:

Until next time, may all your blood be warm!

Update 15/01/2026:

Greetings from Matt of the near future! As an update to this recommendation, I was lucky enough to be the winner of one of the Count’s monthly contests, as mentioned above. I received a signed copy of Count Gore De Vol Presents: Theatre of Blood signed by the count himself, as well as a nice letter.

You can see the prizes below:

A big thanks to the Count for running the contest, and for hours of terrifying entertainment!
